New Permitted Development Rights in England - Part 2

Last week we told you about a new Planning order that was introduced this April.

In this Blog post we will be exploring some of the benefits that you may experience following these new changes.

Whilst the new changes offer great benefits to business and landowners, there is also good news for home owners as the right to build a single storey residential extension has been extended for a further 3 year period until 30th May 2019.
These extensions however are limited dependant on the type of dwelling (between 4-8 metres for a detached dwelling and 3-6 metres for any other), must not exceed a set height and are not applicable in designated areas.
Permitted development regulations are complex and will undoubtedly by construed by different Local Planning Authorities in different ways. Whether you are a home owner looking to extend, a business looking to expand or a landowner looking to get the full value from your land, Andrew Granger & Co can help you navigate the tricky system and provide you with detailed professional advice.

If you would like to discuss how these changes may affect you, or you have a project that you think might benefit from our expertise, please do not hesitate to contact a member of our Planning and Development Department on 01858 439 090 or email planning@andrewgranger.co.uk
