The European Commissioner, Phil Hogan, has confirmed today that he will be extending the deadline for CAP subsidy applications.
NFU director of policy, Andrew Clark said: “We understand Commissioner Hogan has confirmed that he will postpone the application deadline.
“We are keen to find out more about the detailed plans and what this means for farmers.
“Our priority remains ensuring our members are able to access a functioning IT system, so they are able to make correct applications and face no delays to payments later this year.”
The news comes as the Government’s CAP reform blog said that there is limited service availability today due to updates to their online system. This means that you cannot view or edit your land today but all other services are available.
They are currently working to reduce the number of decimal places presented when adding the size of land use or feature to a land parcel.
