Important Changes to Stewardship Claims



If you are an agri-environment scheme holder, Natural England now requires you to submit an annual claim form. This is a new requirement for both Entry-Level and Higher-Level schemes. Failure to submit a claim will mean you will no longer be able to receive your payments.

Please note this a separate process from the Basic Payment Scheme despite sharing the May 15 deadline.

You must be registered on the new Rural Payments database to apply.

Claim forms will be issued in March, with late returns attracting penalties.
