Race for victory

Victoria Clayton, a member of our Market Harborough lettings team will be taking part in the 2015 London Marathon on Sunday 26th April.

She is running in aid of Parkinson’s disease, through Parkinson’s UK, a charity which holds a special place in her heart. She is hoping to reach her sponsorship target of £2,500.

Victoria first began raising money for Parkinson’s disease, after her father was diagnosed with the incurable neurological condition nine years ago. Impressively, she has completed the Leicester half marathon for the past two years and the 10k for Parkinson’s run. She is really excited to take in the mammoth event and hopes to beat her fundraising target!

The gruelling course is 26 miles and 385 yards long and runners will be passing through the streets of London, finishing at the infamous line at The Mall.

“I have just done the Leicester half marathon so will maintain this distance until the end of December when my 17 week training plan starts! I will then be running 5 times a week, including interval training and strength work”.

The continued support of her colleagues has been phenomenal and Victoria plans to hold a number of fundraising events in and around the office over the next months.
